We are a club of English language and culture friends. We meet in Guadalajara every thursday from 18:45 to 20:45 in order to talk in english.

We usually have a topic of the day but the conversation normally flows by itself and we have fun talking about lots of things. We meet in the Social Centre in Calle Cifuentes.

Why don't you try next Thursday? Meet us, talk and enjoy. If you like it and decide to be a member it's only 20 Euros a year, and we have a lot of resources, like a library service with lots of books, games and films, and some magazines such as Think in English, Speak Up and National Geographic.

Who we are..

Who are you?
 - We are a club of English language and culture friends.

Really? And what activities do you have?
- We met every thursday from 19:00 to 21:00 in order to talk in english. Usually we have a topic of the day in order to break the ice, but usually the conversation flows by itself and we have fun talking about lots of things.

Well, it sounds quite well.. every thursday.. mm.. Where do you met??
- In the Civic Centre of Guadalajara, on the fourth floor, it is on Plaza del Concejo number 11. There's an small map below..

But... You're an association, so it's for free?

- No, we're sorry. Why don't you try next thursday? Met us, talk and enjoy.
If you like it and decide to be a member it's only 20 Euros a year, and we have a lot of resources, such a library service with lots of books, games and films, and the magazines Think in English, Speak Up and National Geographic.

  1. This association was born a long time ago, in September 1996. A group of unemployed and young people decided to meet with a common aim: practicing English.
    Why?
Because, after learning and following a course (INEM) in which an enthusiastic person, Lola, was the esperienced teacher, they decided to brush up their English, at least, once a week.
The beginning was really hard: there wasn't a place for the meeting. We have to pay 18000 pesetas a month for renting and sharing a flat with an academy (Corte y confección). Later we met in a pub (Too noisy for our purpose). After a few months we had some meetings with cultura and, finally, we had a room in Ateneo Municipal; but we had to share the room with other associations. I remember one of them: Coro Guadalajara. One day the associations had to emigrate to the black building (Edificio Negro) where we always meet.
